She and her Moons
After a tiring day at the office, she finally boarded the Cab for home. She connected her earphones and played the 70s Hindi music, which she has recently acquired taste for. Looking outside the cab window she looked for a familiar face but couldn’t locate it. These days she has lost track of the constant companion, and felt a pang of guilt about it as if she has forgotten to check on someone really important in her life.
But then 'Moon' is also important in her life. She doesn’t remember when, but she has always felt a connection with the moon. It feels her with a soothing calmness always, full light in her dull dark days. And today also she was looking for the Moon in the Sky but couldn’t find it.
Someone said this connection she felt is because of her being a Cancerian, but she doesn’t really care much! She doesn’t need a reason to justify her connection with the moon. Moon has been a constant in her life, keeping all her secrets safe with it, and always making life bearable with its presence.
Just then the Cab took a turn, and she got a glimpse of the Moon in the sky, and instantly a smile crept on her lips. 'So, here you are!' She whispered as if complaining to the moon. And the whole day's tiredness and stress just vanished for a while. She finds it perfect- moon in the sky, 70s music playing on her earphones and the ending day, when she is finally going home to her safe space. She kept looking at the moon as she was ranting about the day, work pressure, the client meeting that went wrong and everything that troubled her.
And why won't she? She has always found a way to talk with the moon even when she knows there will be no reply.
She remembered her earlier days when she used to sleep watching the moon peeping inside from her window. Ah those Days! Life changed, cities Changed, people changed but the moon remained always there for her restless Soul...
Just then her phone rang and again a smile came up on her face, she picked the call and told the person on the other side she would be home in 2 mins. And her eyes are smiling now because she has seen her one moon in the sky and the other one is waiting for her outside her building to take her in to his warm hug and welcome her home just like every evening....
