Addictive.</strong></p> <p>At least, that is the reputation I'm expecting to test for myself.</p> <p>There are dragons, military training, deadly competitions, romance, rivalries, secrets and a heroine who is very much not supposed to be in the place where she finds herself.</p> <p>It sounds like the perfect recipe for the kind of fantasy where “I'll read one chapter” becomes “why is it morning?”</p> <h3>Why You Should Read It</h3> <p>If you have been waiting for an excuse to finally enter the <em>Empyrean</em> world, this is obviously the place to start.</p> <p>The biggest draw for me is the combination of <strong>dragons + military academy + romance + survival</strong>.</p> <p>It's also the sort of premise that creates immediate stakes. Violet isn't simply trying to pass an exam or prove herself.
